Dislocated IOL Surgery

samedi 4 novembre 2006 par Didier ducournau

Here below is a very easy technique to pick up a dislocated IOL and place it in the anterior chamber, first mandatory manoever before deciding if it should be removed of fixed to the sclera/iris.
The main advantage of this technique is to avoid injecting PFCL whose convex surface can press the IOL on the retina thus inducing retinal damage. This technique offers therefore less risk of postoperative retinal detachment.
